Lifer

Defined under the Twitcher's vocabulary as a first-ever sighting of a bird species by an observer; an addition to one's life list.

No one else but you came into my mind when I first learned that I am going on a bird watching trip. 


I marveled in everything I laid eyes upon, the sanctuary, although we had never set foot there together, echoed everything about you.

I listed a total of 14 lifers on my very first bird watching trip and I plan to grow my lifelist. I remember the very first bird species we talked about; the flamingo, roughly almost 4 years ago. I recall how kind it was of you to answer my very curious question about them bright-colored, statuesque birds.

I hope to grow my lifelist, add more lifers, see more of the avian world, know more species. And I hope one day, even it may be remotely possible, I wish that I'd see you, in the far corner of my spotter scope once again.
