Sad-missive

billet doux written with the hands of the wind,
post cards stamped by memories and kissed by time,
letters alive with long forgotten words.

all these for you, written in the skies above,
where the clouds are, where love will always be.

What Waiting Means to an Elderly

This is what waiting means to an elderly woman at Lualhati ng Maynila.

Lualhati is a gov’t funded home for the abandoned elderly. They house more than 300 individuals, most of them sick, some painfully lonely and all of them… waiting. Waiting for what could be an end to more days of waiting or just plainly, patiently waiting to be back home.
For now, all we can do is make them smile, in our littlest ways until the day we hear the news of them either sent back home with their family or dying… alone and waiting.

An encounter with a lost e-mail

Inexorable. Such is the very word I seek to describe the yearning I harbor in me.

I desire no conflict, I desire not to fill the void.
I know about unattainable longings and more about the impossible.

Moments like this are ephemeral and immediately lost But I'd rather lose the thoughts as I send it to you, And as I look at the existence of these pencils encapsulating my very own, I know it is time to exhaust the last of its remaining life and purpose.

There was not a day I did not think about you. From the day of the first sunrise till that very last before the moon rise.
