Siargao symphony

I’m longing for the sun and a walk on the shore
minding a thousand thoughts
like the pure sand grains on my feet
washed away by the ebbing tide.

I long for that lazy day
lying flat and gazing at the moon lit sky
waiting, wanting for the stars to twinkle
and reflect the dazzle that peeks shyly in the corner of my eyes.

I close my eyes and the moment takes me away,
the wind is carrying me back into my safe place.
I am cradled between the stars and the waves,
the breeze brings me peace,
the calmness envelopes me
and I feel free once again.

the morning comes and the sun bathes me,
I am half awake and half dreaming.
I wish to stay this way. Oh, please don’t escape me now.
I rose and ran to the shore
bound for the deep blue, I swam until I can’t no more.
I belong to you, redeem me.
I am tired and astray,
redeem me, I can’t go on anymore.
